Not for brokers you connect through their open API: the Connector talks to them directly, around the clock. For MT5, your terminal needs to be running so the Connector can place orders. Many traders use a low-cost Windows VPS so it runs around the clock. Your charts and browser can be closed.
Yes, that's Guild Cloud, now in early access. It hosts MetaTrader 5 and the Connector EA on our servers so your computer can stay off. Until your slot opens, run MT5 on your PC or a Windows VPS. The Connector works the same either way.
Any broker that offers MetaTrader 5, plus brokers and exchanges with an open trading API (REST, WebSocket or FIX). For API brokers you add a trade-only API key and the Connector maps their instrument names for you. For MT5, the Connector reads your broker's symbol list during setup and maps names like XAUUSD.m or EURUSD-pro automatically.
It checks every signal against the risk rules you set, blocks duplicates and misfires, and writes a plain-English note for each trade. It enforces your rules. It never creates trades or changes your strategy.
Yes. Any platform or script that can send a webhook can send signals to your Connector, in plain text or JSON.
For MT5, your broker login stays inside your MT5 terminal and is never shared with Guild. For API brokers, you create a trade-only key with withdrawals switched off, and it's stored encrypted. Every incoming signal must be signed with your private key, or it's rejected.
No. The Connector executes and protects your strategy, but trading carries risk and results depend on your strategy and market conditions.
